ABOUT RENÉ SAMPAIO
René Sampaio, 50 years old, holds degrees in Journalism and Advertising from the University of Brasília (UnB). He is a film and television director and producer. In addition to his work in cinema, he has had an extensive career in advertising, having directed over 400 commercials and received several awards, including a Silver Lion at the Cannes Festival in 2005. René is a partner at Barry Company and Fogo Cerrado Filmes. He produces commercials, TV content, and film projects. He directed the films Eduardo e Mônica (2020), Amor ao Quadrado (2016), Faroeste Caboclo (2013), O Homem (2007), Sinistro (2000), Contatos (2000) e Antes do Fim (1995); and the series Impuros (2018-present), Amor da Minha Vida (2024-present), How To Be a Carioca (2023) and Dupla Identidade (2014).
