Respiro Filmes Creative Lab

The Creative Hub was born with an exciting mission here at Respiro Filmes! We’re fully committed to valuing and compensating the work of screenwriters, as well as giving more time and care to this crucial stage of the audiovisual process — because we believe a well-crafted script makes all the difference.

The first edition of the project welcomed four short film stories. Over the course of two months, these narratives came to life through script consulting, classes with special guests, and masterclasses. And the result? Incredible screenplays! Check out the fantastic loglines that emerged from these sessions:

Eldorado

Directed by: Vini Moreira.

Genre: Social Drama, Historical Drama.

Logline: Desperate for work and guided by their faith, Lenita and Zé Maria are drawn to the promises of employment in Brasília, the capital under construction. With no job opportunities, Lenita spends her days in Taguatinga, forced to cope with loneliness and a growing sense of impending catastrophe.

In The Dark

Directed by: Júlia Rios and Luiza Chagas.

Genre : Drama.

Logline: In a dark room, what begins as a reunion escalates into a relationship discussion. A couple tries to save their relationship through a conversation, but the honesty brought out by the darkness forces them to confront issues that reveal their incompatibility.

The Sticker Collector

Directed by: Lorena Figueiredo.

Genre: Children.

Logline: A lonely girl who moves to Brasília during the Olympics finds inspiration in her friendship with a young neighbor and a sticker album to pursue her biggest dream: becoming a player for the Brazilian national soccer team.

Reverb

Directed by: Alice Aquino.

Genre: Dramedy

Logline: After getting dumped by her boyfriend via text, a rock singer constantly imagines dramatic scenes where she and her ex reunite—until an unexpected situation forces her to face reality.
