Ada Souza

Ada Souza is a certified Audiovisual Technician from the Federal Institute of Brasília (IFB). She began her career in the audiovisual field in 2019 as a screenwriter and producer of the film Tecnogênese, which was selected in the Taguatinga Film Festival in 2020. Since then, she has gained experience in several key roles, including Gaffer, Editor, Assistant Editor, Media Manager (GMA/Logger), and Lighting and Grip Assistant.

 

She has worked in these roles on projects including the short films The Beads (2023), Antiscene (2023), Assíntota (2024), The Blame Silence (2025), Ar-dor (2025), and Ingrown (2026), as well as the feature films The Nature of Invisible Things (2025), A Colméia (2025), Senior Year (2025), and the series Favela.Doc (2024), Wild Cub School (2024), and Cine Memórias – Cine Brasília (2025).

 

In 2023, she received the award for Best Editing at the Light, Camera and Expression Film Festival for the short film O Sol Desapareceu.

 

She currently teaches at Adélia Sampaio Audiovisual School, an institute dedicated to training Black women in the audiovisual field, highlighting her presence in the audiovisual scene of the Federal District.
